Staff accountant
Many accountants go into the field in order to work for the government. Other’s go into accounting with the hopes of landing a job as staff accountant for one of the big five. The question is how to be a staff accountant? Generally speaking you will need to have at least a bachelors degree from an accredited university. It is best to have done your homework in advance and take the courses required by your prospective employer. The next step is to interview with the firm and be accepted by them. Progression typically goes from staff accountant, to senior staff accountant, to manager to partner.
