Looking for information on how to read guitar tabs
My cousin recently told me that I’m wasting my time with struggling to learn how to read sheet music – she said that I should try learning how to read guitar tabs instead, and that once I know how to read guitar tabs, playing the guitar would be easy. This sounds great, but I’d like more information. If I can really learn to play without sheet music, I’d love that, but I’ve already invested time and money with little success in traditional guitar lessons, and if this isn’t going to work, I’d rather not sink my cash into something that isn’t going to get me anywhere. So, I’d like to know if anyone’s had great success – or if anyone’s had a particularly bad experience – with using guitar tabs. Enlighten me!
