Stump covers
Do you have a large stump or rock outcropping in your landscape? These make great bases for window box planters. The contrast between stump, planter, and flowers is breath taking. Our stump has a background of Douglas Fir and oak so we have a rough forest appearance already. The addition of the window box filled with flowers highlights the view. If deer are a problem in your area is is easy to create a screen over the window boxes and keep the native bambi at bay. Depending on the plant stock you used, it also makes it easier to remove them back to the green house when winter sets in.
