Newsletter Promotions

A common, and sometimes overused, promotion strategy is sending a newsletter. This can be overused if a business sends a newsletter too frequently. Too frequently depends on your type of business, how frequently new developments occur in your industry, and how often you offer specials. For example, it isn’t too frequent for a grocery store to send out circulars (a type of newsletter) on a weekly basis as long as they are changing prices that frequently. However, a weekly newsletter would be too frequent for many service based businesses such as plumbers or carpenters because they don’t change their prices that frequently. If you decide to use a newsletter as a Promotion Strategy, make sure you don’t send it too frequently or your customers will just throw it away.
