Creativity and Prepress Equipment
Prepress is the imaginary bridge between creativity and manufacturing as it balances the two and their skills overlap. While technology has taken the graphic designer further into the duty of prepress professionals with the typesetting and other functions they now do, there still are boundaries as to what is and is not prepress, no matter who performs the task. The closing of the gap of difference between the designer and prepress has been advanced by innovations in prepress equipment via the digital age. Like so many other industries, printing has had to adjust and shift its work flow to accommodate for the technology that is simplifying the process.
